I hold a degree in Linguistics, with a focus on English and Spanish Languages and Literature.
In addition, I completed Italian language courses and earned a qualification in teaching Russian as a foreign language.
As a hardworking person who values your time and commitment, I tend to be quite disciplined — I believe that strong self-discipline makes up 50% of success.

Thank you for understanding that time is valuable.
To ensure effective scheduling, I kindly ask all students to provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they need to reschedule a lesson.
Please note that MISSED LESSONS or LATE CANCELLATIONS are NON-refundable.
If you are running late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time to respect my other commitments.
Additionally, please keep in mind that reasons such as ‘I have a meeting at work’ or ‘I forgot about the lesson’ are not considered valid excuses for last-minute cancellations, as I also have professional commitments.

Irina is a very competent and helpful instructor––with her help, I have passed the C1 exam for Russian and am currently preparing to take the C2 exam. Irina provides diverse, high quality materials for lessons and is actively invested in making sure that I achieve my language learning goals.
Furthermore, Irina's background in linguistics and personal interest in language learning are a huge help. Irina's language competencies allow her to better understand issues that non-native speakers have and she is able to draw many helpful connections and insights between languages. Irina has a lot of experience learning languages herself, and this experience comes through in her teaching.
Overall, I strongly recommend Irina as a language teacher––I feel that my Russian has improved significantly thanks to my classes with her which are always interesting, personalised, and, above all, informative.
