Pius Ntinya

Mwalimu Pius has been a great help in explaining some tricky words and expressions in this book I'm reading. He patiently listens as I read, then clarifies things, asks questions and makes sure I understand. He's a great teacher!

Mwalimu Pius is always a huge help when I encounter difficult topics, proverbs, colloquial expressions, etc. His English is very good, so if I can't understand the explanation in Swahili, he can just switch to English to ensure I get it. He's a fantastic teacher!

Mwalimu Pius is a fantastic teacher! We had a lot of variety today, from discussing a video about the Tanzanian government deciding to sell its gold reserves, to discussing a chapter in a novel, to learning some new proverbs. We covered a lot of ground in one lesson. We made a plan for our next lesson as well. Looking forward to it!

There were some from a book I'm reading that I understood literally, but I didn't get the underlying cultural context. After Mwalimu's explanation it made much more sense. He's really deepening my understanding of the language and culture. Invaluable.
