Hello! My name is Mariz and I am from the Philippines. I am a Bachelor's degree holder and a TESOL certified. I used to work at home as a representative of a health insurance company based in US. I was assisting doctors, nurses or provider's representatives from the United States with health insurance claims of their patients. I worked for almost 1 and half years as an US insurance representative. So rest assured that I am a well conversant in english. For students who want to learn Tagalog, it is my native language.
I am a Bachelor's degree holder and a TESOL certified. We can work on your reading, conversation skills, pronunciation and vocabulary. I am very friendly and a conversation starter. I want to be a tutor because I want to help people by sharing my knowledge. I know that this is something I will enjoy as a career.
I can do free talk, conversational practice or structured lesson plan whichever you will be comfortable with. The lesson plan will depend on your level of knowledge or proficiency on the language. I can create google document personalized to you, give you tips or we can use different materials to make the lessons easy for you. TESOL certificate - International Open Academy - 2021I completed an in-depth 120-hour course on Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) through International Open Academy. This program covered everything from effective teaching methods to managing classrooms and assessing language skills. To earn the certificate, I had to pass tests for each topic we covered, proving my ability to teach English to non-native speakers.
