Hiyori 日和

I had a great lesson with Hiyoriさん. Hiyoriさん is really good at asking questions and keeping the conversation lively and fun. Hiyoriさん also helps me when I get stuck and can't say a word or sentence in Japanese. She's able to understand my English immediately. I'm very thankful that Hiyoriさん not only just provides transcribed words and phrases during the lesson, but also an aggregated list at the end of the lesson. It's so easy to copy the list over for input into a flashcard application or for review later.

I always have a wonderful time working with Hiyori. She's is amazing at explaining difficult grammar in a clear and easy to understand way. Plus, she's super easy to talk to. We get carried away with talking, it's so fun but also it is great conversation practice! I am always looking forward to the next lesson. Thank you!

I was quite disappointed with this lesson. The teacher gave me the impression of looking down on me, even pointing out that my “communication ability” was a problem. As a language learner, I think it’s natural to struggle when expressing myself in a foreign language—that’s exactly why I’m taking lessons. Unfortunately, I also didn’t feel much warmth or encouragement during the class. The atmosphere felt more like fulfilling a task than truly supporting a student’s progress. Because of this, I cannot recommend this teacher’s lessons.
