I am Dhritishankar from Kolkata, India. My native language is Bengali. I am teaching English in an international school in India. Teaching Bengali and English come naturally to me. My hobbies are learning new languages, reading books, watching movies, playing guitar and I am an avid traveler. I believe that every student is unique with different learning styles and therefore I prepare my lessons accordingly. I believe as a teacher learning can never stop and therefore I always love to learn even from my students. This has greatly helped in my teaching as students find me a good listener and a friend.

I am an English and a Bengali teacher with more than 8 years of teaching experience. My native language is Bengali and I believe it is one of the sweetest languages in the world. My courses are designed to suit the individual need of students as I believe each students have different learning styles. I teach English and Bengali from A1 - C2 level. I can also guide students in test preparation like TOEFL. I always focus on the requirements of students and regularly monitor their progress by holding various tests.

I teach Communicative English and Bengali from beginners to advanced level. I give stress in developing fluency, learning vocabulary, perfecting pronunciation, sharpening writing and listening skills. I give Homework and regularly revise the lessons. I use various tools like realia, Audio-Visual Resources, Phonetic Chart, films, newspaper articles etc. to give students a real feel of the language. I am quite flexible and my lessons are entertaining.

Dhriti was very friendly and encouraging! As a beginner I got to learn some very useful vocabulary during my first session and then used those words in short activities to create short sentences. Was also able to incorporate the small amount of what I already knew! Thanks again!

Dhriti is a really great teacher. Even though these classes are, of course, completely online, it feels as if we are meeting in person. The lessons are comfortable, motivating, and productive. He is also very friendly. Highly recommend!

First session with Dhriti today. I've taken some Bengali in the past and told him my learning plan and format I'd like to experiment with. It was a brilliant session. It felt like he'd been my tutor for months. No awkwardness at all. Nice workflow. He went right into helping me transliterate sentences, fixed pronunciation and translation mistakes, wrote vocab in the chat box (transliteration and meaning), and provided extra colloquial insight into various phrases. Very chill guy, smooth, encouraging, helpful. Will definitely take more lessons with him. Cheers!
