I have worked for more than ten years. When working as a foreign teacher recruiter, I often help foreign friends practice their daily conversation. I am a patient teacher. I am willing to repeat the same pronunciation as many times as you need. In my class, I always create a relaxed atmosphere. Because I believe when you’re relaxed, you can better express yourself. I always encourage my students to speak as much as they can in Chinese. Learning from speaking is the most effective way to acquire a language. Melody is an excellent teacher! I felt comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. She provided great resources and explained the grammar/pronunciation before having me practice on my own. I highly recommend her for beginners to Mandarin!

I couldn't imagine learning Mandarin without Melody! I was able to go from zero to HSK 2 after 6 months with her help. She provides comprehensible materials and decodes the tough grammar. I have a lot of opportunity to speak, listen, and read during the lesson.

I've studied with Melody for a year now and I'm very happy with how my Chinese has improved! I started from zero and feel comfortable with HSK 2 level material. Melody incorporates aspects of my life into our lessons to make it relevant, and also teaches me Chinese outside of the textbooks. I still highly recommend Melody for anyone new to Mandarin and can't wait to continue our lessons!
