Hi, my name is Chronis, I'm 23 years old and Im from Thessaloniki, the 2nd largest greek city. My mother tongue is greek, but I also speak english, french and spanish. Plus, I'm currently learning german. Αll my courses are provided in Εnglish. However, if your mother tongue is French, Spanish or German this would be amazing, because we would able to make all the exact correlation between the greek language and your mothertongue. Let’s turn your mother tongue into a bridge—not a barrier—for fluent Greek! I'm interested in politics, economy, international relations, music (I play the guitar), science, Eurovision, basketball, going to the gym.

عني كمعلّم

Having a huge love for the greek language and loving learning languages in general (a proud polyglot as stated above), I realized that i really enjoy teaching greek to my foreign friends and became passionate about it. Especially when I already speak their own language i'm really intrigued to find interesting common roots, loans and similarities while it also helps me to better explain the concepts of the greek language by providing the foreign equivalents. This love for languages, when i discovered italki, made me think that i could use it to transmit this passion for language learning and the greek language!

Our courses will be adjusted to your current linguistic level, your personal needs and interests. I usually provide personalized notes to address the abovementioned parameters, while also using course books, grammar books, listening exercises and videos. Our conversational courses will give us the chance to spot any grammatical or vocabulary deficiencies and patiently focus on them. Plus, the hard greek orthography can be easily explained through the studying of the etymology and grammar that help us conceive the rules that define orthography. Daily vailability with a large range of hours.Feel free to ask any questions! I will be sunbathing in Crete till 3/8/25. I'll be back from 4/8/25 ;)

It is very pleasant to have classes with Chronis. He is very friendly and patient, giving explanations clearly and with a pace which I could understand; and he keeps reviewing the content we have learned for me to lay a solid foundation. I have taken quite some classes from him and would like to keep the journey of studying Greek!

Chronis is a passionate, devoted, reliable teacher. He understands my needs and also, very important, my study rythm and methods. He is very well prepared and helpful. Our connection is the passion for languages, on all levels. Linguistics, ethymology etc. I am sure he will be a good motivator to learn this, let's say, not so easy language
