💫 Friendly, optimistically realistic, and endlessly curious—I’m a language lover and cultural explorer at heart! As a native Greek speaker and fluent English teacher, I specialize in making language learning feel like an adventure, blending grammar with real-life Greek culture, traditions, and modern quirks.
My passion for psychology and deep conversations means our lessons can go beyond vocabulary—we’ll explore how language and culture shapes thinking (and vice versa!). Whether you’re a beginner or polishing fluency, I’ll help you speak naturally and embrace the messy, joyful process.

🗣️ I am happy to tailor the lesson around your needs and priorities, focusing on the things you find useful and interesting in your linguistic journey. Every student is different and unique, so I aim to create a personalized plan that includes realistic and achievable goals we can set together. :)
I encourage you to make mistakes and learn from them, while providing and repeating explanations and corrections, as many times as you need me to. I also have lots of homework and grammar/vocabulary/reading/listening/speaking practice to send, while I am always open to requests or suggestions that will optimize your learning experience. :) دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
👩🏻🏫🗨️ My teaching style is mainly based on real life conversations & scenarios, as well as important aspects of the spoken language, here in Greece. At the same time it's accommodating and quite laid back, so you can let go of all of your worries about how you might sound or how many mistakes you might be making. :)

Σοφία is the best Greek teacher hands down. She's patient, listens, and crafts a fun and productive environment.
She wants you to succeed and ensures you speak as natively as possible. After several lessons with her, I can honestly say I can understand and speak Greek levels better than trying it on my own.
Her teaching methods are effective and her enthusiasm makes each lesson enjoyable. Highly recommended Σοφία for anyone looking to learn Greek!

Sofia is always an excellent teacher, but unfortunately the iTalki system for lesson meetings failed today. It would not work, so we had to use Zoom instead. I am not happy about that because I'm paying for the iTalki Plus even, and this technical failure means I will have less benefit of all the other things iTalki Plus is supposed to do, following a lesson with the teacher. I got good value from my teacher but not from iTalki.

I really love my Greek teacher Sofia. Unfortunately the iTalki system is giving us a lot of headaches lately, kicking us out of the meetings over and over.
