I am a British native speaker with a neutral accent. My students say that I am friendly and patient. I do not teach children.
As an experienced and CELTA qualified teacher teaching business and general English, I am flexible and responsive to your needs.
I have been teaching on italki since 2012 and now teach exclusively online. I started teaching English as a community volunteer in North Carolina and have 20 years experience as a professional English teacher in the UK, Japan and Spain, I have taught private lessons, group classes, worked in language schools, companies and on government funded programmes. I have degrees in Business Studies and Economics and two teaching qualifications. My experience includes general, business, medical and legal English, test preparation and conversation as well as interview preparation.
I also have extensive experience in business including real estate, administration and educational management so when you ask for my help with Business English you can be sure that I have a real understanding of the business world.
I enjoy helping students develop their speaking skills, and I believe that classes can be serious
and challenging but still enjoyable and not stressful

Higher NationalDiploma In Busines Studies - Redditch College, UK - 1980The HND is a two year university level course, equivalent to a US Associates Degree. I studied the subjects listed on thecertificate and wrote a dissertation. AFter completing this course I gained employment in retail management. When I started working as a professional teacher in the UK this qualification was accepted as proof that I could teach Business as an academic (high school) course, which I did for 7 years including to many non-native English speakers in London schools and colleges
