My name is Lorraine and I look forward to working with you to ensure that you can speak easily, comfortably and have flow to your conversation. Conversational English is my focus. For shy people who find it difficult to express themselves, book a trial lesson to see my format.
I was born in South Africa hence Afrikaans is my second language. For the past 35 years I have been living in Toronto, Canada so I have learned basic French and American Sign Language. A few things that I enjoy in my leisure time are hiking, reading, sewing, knitting and swimming.
Learning activities include conversations, reading, pronunciation, a mock interview, use of idioms.
For the past 35 years, I have worked in health care treating patients affected by breast, lung and prostate cancer. Instructing radiation therapy students in a hospital setting is part of my daily practice. Teaching students comes naturally to me and I coach them in communication skills to help them deal with sick patients, team skills and their technical skills.
For the past 5 years I have been teaching Conversational English with Italki.
