I’m Katherine, a native Chinese speaker from China. I like chatting with people who come from all over the world and I also enjoy teaching Chinese and sharing Chinese culture. Now I'm working for an international nursery as a teacher, I have 4 years teaching experience of children. so I'm very passionate and easy going. I helped my foreign friends learning Chinese in my spare time for one year. I’m excited to help you learning Chinese. I believe that you can not only learn Chinese well from me, but also have fun without pressure.

I have been a teacher for 4 years in the nursery and kindergarten. I am working with children everyday and received a lot of parents praise. I believe the best way of learning a language is to use it. In my class, I will try to speak Chinese as much as I can. Depending on your level, I'll change different style.

Great lesson as always!
consistent lessons with Katherine help me in enormous way on my (very long) journey to hsk 6! i couldnt do this without her help, she is always prepared and ready for another lesson!
She is simply a great teacher!

As always a great lesson :) we are still preparing for hsk 6 as last time I was only missing 10 points which was amazing for a short amount of time I was learning :)
Very satisfied with the quality of lessons and definitely will continue learning with Katherine! :)

I've only been with Katherine for two lessons now, but believe me when I say that's enough to know that she's a fantastic teacher. She's so patient and encouraging, and she speaks exactly at the level and speed she needs to to be understood. Even when I'm creating completely nonsensical Chinese sentences, I feel comfortable with her which I believe is super important for growth. I think she's among the best of what iTalki has to offer.
