My name is Thu.I'm a Vietnamese native speaker who was born and grew up in Hanoi's Old Quarter.Therefore, Northern Vietnamese is the dialect I'm most comfortable with. But I'm also familiar with the Southern dialect as I'd lived in Ho Chi Minh City for a year.
Languages are for communicating with other people, and should always be taught and learnt in a fun manner.
I am not only a teacher,but am also an ongoing student as I really love travelling and learning new languages. I'd worked in the hospitality industry as an executive butler and a concierge supervisor at five-star hotels in Hanoi for 6 years,and was already teaching Vietnamese to my guests long before I started teaching online.عني كمعلّم
I've always loved learning and teaching new languages.Other than my native Vietnamese, I also know English and Mandarin Chinese.Learning Chinese has helped me to empathise with students learning language.
When I was working in the hotels, I was already helping my clients and guests to learn Vietnamese for their business needs or just to make their vacations more pleasant and comfortable.
For the past 3 years, I've been teaching many students,online and in person,the Vietnamese language and they hail from every part of the world, from the United States, to Europe, to here in Asia.Most of my students are able to communicate with me fluently (according to their needs and goals) in Vietnamese دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
Don’t be shy when conversing with me in Vietnamese during our lessons. Our lessons are a safe place for you to speak and experiment without fear of ridicule. The best way to learn a language is to practice it, and when you have a mentor to kindly correct your mistakes and encourage you when you do well, the learning journey is so much more enjoyable.
My students can talk about their daily life, their big life stories, or anything under the sun, and if they have difficulties expressing themselves, I gently nudge and prompt them with the suitable Vietnamese words and phrases. Thu is the best teacher i have had on Italki in any language. She is not only great at teaching but works well to adapt to your individual learning styleIf you like customized notes she types amazingly fast and makes updates before her lessons. She really works hard for her money and has a great personality. Its amazing how far she has taken me i really feel i can speak a language i once thought was impossible.

Great lesson with Thu! We started with small talk, and I told Thu about Easter, since it was yesterday. We also learned more about "personalities" and did more exercises from the textbook. Thu did a nice job of asking questions during small talk, as she usually does!

Great lesson with Thu! We talked about the weekend and my plans for Easter. After that, we continued working on exercises from the textbook. Thu did a nice job of explaining new vocabulary and correcting my misunderstandings!
