Hi there! My name is Kurtis and I'm from the UK. I am a TEFL certified tutor with a degree in Linguistics & Phonetics. I have lots of experience with teaching English, as well as working on pronunciation, where my degree subject definitely helps! Whatever your goals are with English, I'm sure I will be able to help. I specialise in grammar and pronunciation, as well as conversation practice. If you'd like to know more, please send me a message and ask! I always like to make lessons feel fun and casual because I know how it feels to be a student of another language! I will always help you as best as I can and I am happy to change lessons so that they best fit your learning style, and help you in the best way possible. I do not teach children.

I know that learning and speaking English can be scary for some students, which is why I like to take a more relaxed approach and make it conversation-like where it is possible. This means getting you involved and practicing your language as much as possible in the sessions so that you are confident when you use your English somewhere else.

Kurtis is a great teacher, always patient and encouraging. When I meet with problems, he always answers for me patiently. He often shares some interesting videos and articles and discusses with me in class, so every class is never boring. As I took more and more classes, I became more and more confident. Now I don't feel nervous communicating with other native speakers! I highly recommend taking Kurtis's class.

Kurtis is very dedicated and gentle. He listens carefully to students' needs and takes notes during class. On the first day,he also gave a detailed introduction about his teaching methods, which made me feel very comfortable and well-prepared for the class.

Kurtis is always well prepared and fulfilled lessons. He is calm but enthusiastic at the same time. Also a friendly and patient, professional teacher! When difficult to understand vocabulary appears in general English class, there is a system in place to review it properly after the lesson. I like that because it allows me to make sure I've got it right. Highly recommend Kurtis's class!
