Hi, I am Lena. I'm from China, a Chinese native speaker. I have a bachelor's degree, and my major is English. I have passed Putonghua Proficiency Test, which means I have standard pronunciation without accent. I have got teacher certificate and have some knowledge about pedagogy and psychology. Besides, I have passed TEM8 (Test for English Major), therefore I have some ideas and tips about language learning which can be shared.
I love to be with children, and I also enjoy communicating with people from all over the world, and from different age groups, to share different cultures and thoughts. I like outdoor activities, like hiking, cycling, mountain climbing, camping, etc.عني كمعلّم
In university, I made friends with 3 foreign teachers. We used to do a language exchange. I taught them Chinese for free to help them fit into the lives in China better. Besides, from 2012 to 2019, I became a tutor as a second job, to help 6 students learn languages.
Teaching methodologies:
- Instructional scaffolding. I am just like a scaffold. I'll help you when you need in order to enhance learning. Supports will gradually be removed as you develop autonomous skills.
- Zone of proximal development, which means the difference between what a learner can do without help and what he/she can achieve with guidance from a teacher. I will focus on this zone and explore your hidden potential. دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي

Lena is a really good and dedicated teacher, on my first lesson she provided me around 7 textbooks according to my level in Chinese, she also provides detailed notes after class about everything we discussed as well as errors in my grammar when speaking, providing additional information on the document.

I really enjoy my lessons with Lena. At first, I couldn't even put two words together, but now I'm able to talk about events in my life. Lena’s great — she listens carefully, gets what I mean, gives useful tips, and after each lesson she sends me a file with new words and phrases to help me improve.
