Hi everyone! I'm Lauren and I come from Hong Kong. I'm currently a Master of Philosophy in Management student at the University of Cambridge, and a recent first class BA History, Politics and Economics graduate from UCL in London.
I have previously achieved:
- A* in IGCSE Cambridge First Language English Literature & English Language
- 7/7 (A* equiv.) in IB First Language English Literature (including 100/100 in oral presentation and oral commentary analysis components)
- a first class average across all three years of my bachelor's degree
I get along with new people easily and consider myself an open-minded, energetic and outgoing person. You can feel free to talk to me about anything!عني كمعلّم
I have 2 years of experience tutoring English and my priority is to make sure I understand each student's language goals, interests and motivations from the very beginning. I adapt my lessons to suit different levels and preferred teaching methods. I'm eager to provide a relaxed and comfortable environment for my students to improve quickly!

I can offer three main types of lessons:
1) In conversation-focused classes, I will focus on building up your fluency and providing native-sounding alternatives.
2) In correction-focused classes, I will help correct grammar, pronounciation, introduce more complex vocabulary, as well as teach more formal ways of expression.
3) In reading-focused classes, I provide articles each session on up-to-date or industry-specific topics. We will go through them together and work our way through jargon, sophisticated phrasing and advanced vocabulary.
I can also help with written English (providing review/feedback for coursework, CVs, cover letters, applications for university etc.).موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

I really want to thank Lauren for her devotion and everything. I am a student applying for a business school interview and Lauren offered great help and insightful guidance with her expertise. She acknowledges my needs and prepares well before each class.During the class, we discussed business articles and interview related issues which are very helpful and fun as well. when I joined italki, I was worried about whether my english would improve. However, I was convinced that my english pronunciation is getting better after several lessons with Lauren. Lauren is a smart tutor:D She accepts my requests well and remembers what I said in the last class (e.g., work experience, life style). Therefore, unlike other tutor who tell the same question and answer every lesson, it leads to a new talk. I believe that my conversation skills will be greatly improved through the help of her passionate lesson.
