I have been doing Russian lessons with Yelnaz now for about 5 months. Each lesson I feel like I learn something new and I definitely feel like my Russian has improved. Even on the days where I feel less confident in myself or as though I should have studied more before the lesson, Yelnaz delivers with great conversation, applicable grammar, and new useful words to add to my vocabulary that pick me back up. The assigned homework really does help you keep engaged with the language on days there is not a lesson and if you truly invest into the system, it pays off. Russian can be challenging at times but I think when one is challenged and does their best to get through it and understand it, they come out the other side better than before. In my opinion, this concept is something that Yelnaz does a great job of embodying in our lessons and a reason I contribute my level of Russian to her. If you get a chance, I absolutely recommend you take lessons with her!

I highly recommend Yelnaz as a teacher. Our conversations are super fun and pleasant and I always end the classes with a lot more vocabulary than when I started. If you want to improve your Russian in a fun way, make sure to book a class with this teacher.

I'm now at about 215 lessons with Yelnaz. In the past year i've learned absolutely tonnes of Russian grammar and vocab, and am starting to be able to express myself freely in Russian. Yelnaz is a great teacher and always makes the lessons fun through introducing new teaching techniques. It's fun , even on days when I am tired or having trouble concentrating. I recommend her as a teacher—you won't regret taking lessons with her!

Really great teacher! Makes you feel comfortable to learn and make mistakes and has a clear plan and good exercises to do for practice. I would recommend her to anyone who is learning Russian.

She asked me my goals and about myself. Then she gave some background on her and how she teaches. And then we practiced some phrases at the end. For a first lesson I think it was wonderful and look forward to learning from her in the future.
