We're all used to high-school language class that ruined the joy of language learning and made it an exercise. I find vocabulary is always more important than grammar, so our focus will be on learning as many words as possible. I love to travel and explore the world, and inspiring my students to explore and stay curious was the coolest part of my job. A large population of the students I taught were Spanish-speaking ELL (English Language Learner) students as well, so I integrated many TEFL teaching practices into my class. One of our favorite class facts was that if a person can speak both English and Spanish, they can communicate with 80% of the world! I also worked with the Ministry of Education in Belize as a Literacy Support Specialist and Workshop facilitator for over a year, language is my passion!
