I have a postgraduate teaching qualification from the Goetheinstitut but more important I have been learning and teaching languages nearly all my life so I have experienced both sides. Living abroad and talk another language can be difficult but also fun once you get a better understanding how the language works.

My work as a teacher includes teaching groups, kids and private students and preparing them for exams from beginners to B2. Some of my students want to improve their skills in order to study in Germany or a German-speaking country. Others need to improve their language skills because of their work in a corporate environment. My classes focus on language skills, such as fluency for professional and private settings, preparing for job interviews or presentations, and dealing with all kind of real-life situations the students may face.

I am a very patient and easy-going teacher. In my class mistakes are very welcomed because only through them, we can learn in life. I adapt my teaching to the student because everyone is unique, the learner has his own tempo and there are different types of learners like auditive, visual and kinesthetic ones. First, I want to know the student better, what he likes and then I will design the perfect lesson for him or her where boredom will be just an old memory.

In the past I have lived in many countries. Whenever I am back home in Germany I go back to driving an abulance. My students appreaciate my slow and clear speech. I am very patient - I dont mind repeating myself over and over again :) Repetition is essential. I encourage students to make mistakes as they catalyse the learning process.

Für mich war immer der Spaß am Lernen im Vordergrund. Unterricht sollte heiter und entspannt sein und genau so möchte ich meine Lehreinheiten anbieten und gestalten.
