Great lesson with Tamilselvi! We read some words to practice the vowels. Tamilselvi made sure that I understood the words and had good pronunciation. After that, we reviewed the spoken Tamil with different verbs and pronouns. Seeing the verbs and pronouns together in sentences was very helpful!

In just a few classes I have made significant improvement in my ability to speak Tamil! Renu does a compbination of grammar lessons and open-ended conversation, so you get to learn the rules and also practice speaking. I would recommend her to anyone!

I’ve learned more about Tamil grammatical structure in just two lessons with Priya than I have in months of self-study with Tamil books. Her structured approach to language learning is exactly what I needed. Priya takes the time to break down the fundamentals with clear examples and live dialogue, making the learning process much more accessible and engaging. For someone like me who thrives on structure, this approach has been perfect. Thanks to her teaching, I’m already able to form fuller, richer sentences, which has made me feel so much more confident in my Tamil skills. Highly recommend her to anyone looking to truly understand and master Tamil!

I admire teachee Ezhil's perseverance. I told him two hours before the class that I wanted to learn a specific topic, and he prepared the teaching materials in such a short time and was very patient. He is truly the best teacher.

I am a professor of public health in the United States and have been taking Tamil lessons with Dr. Amirthakadeswarar for a month now. I am incredibly impressed by the breath of his knowledge of Tamil and by his love for the language and his dedication to impart that love to his students. To learn a language well, it is not enough merely to learn the vocabulary and the grammar. It is also incumbent upon the student to deeply understand the roots of the language and to appreciate its inherent beauty, through exposure to its poetry and literature. My desire to learn Tamil is to improve my ability to be able to communicate with communities about the science of public health, and while we learn that, Dr. A also shares his bountiful expertise about the history and culture underlying the language. He is a kind and patient teacher and is a pleasure to work with him. I can say with confidence that it is extremely rare to find another teacher like him and I strongly recommend him.

Jasmine is amazing teacher! Her lessons are well organized, she makes everything more easy to understand. She provides useful examples for real life situations and notes after every lesson. Divya has taught me Tamil for nearly a year now, and I am incredibly lucky to have her as a teacher. She has patiently taken me from a complete beginner to both steadily improving my language skills and developing a broad spectrum of cultural knowledge. I find certain aspects of Tamil challenging but Divya always slows the lesson down to my pace to ensure my understanding which I really appreciate.
