Anna is one of my favorite language teachers ever - and I’ve had a lot of them! I have been having Ukrainian classes with her for over a year now and I credit her for introducing me to lots of new Ukrainian authors and creators and helping me learn the language through cool cultural content. She’s patient, super smart, and flexible to adapt to whatever style works best for the student. Highly recommend!!

I started meeting with Olesia a little over two years ago, when I only knew the Ukrainian alphabet. Since then, we've covered grammar concepts like cases and conjugations of verbs in different forms, studied a lot of vocabulary, and done hours of speaking practice. My Ukrainian has improved a lot in just a couple of years and I feel much more confident in my abilities. Several months ago, she helped me prepare for a Ukrainian speaking test, where I was able to achieve an Advanced score thanks to her help. These days, we discuss new vocabulary from the books I’m reading in Ukrainian and are beginning to analyze the works of well-known Ukrainian poets. It’s been very rewarding to move on to more challenging topics and see how far I’ve come with her lessons. I’m really grateful to have found Olesia as a tutor. She is very invested in my progress and always tailors our lessons to my goals and interests. I highly recommend her to those interested in learning Ukrainian!

Timur is a great teacher. In the transition from one Slavic language to another there so are many "false friends." Tim points out the true path with such patience and my lexicon grows. I am speaking Ukrainian -- real conversations. And my grammar is growing stronger. Wonderful.

Supremely adaptable and enthusiastic, Oleksandr succeeded in immediately locating during the lesson materials of just the sort I was looking for and followed up promptly after the lesson with a veritable stack of links to other materials he thought might interest me. The Ukrainian language is deep and beautiful. Kyrylo speaks fluent English, Russian, and Turkish, so he can contextualize the language of the Ukrainian steppe and understands Ukrainian’s uniqueness. Part of Ukrainian’s depth is in its uniqueness and ancientness as the heir to medieval Kyiv Rus. Kyrylo is a Masters degree student at the best university in Kyiv studying language and literature. He lives that depth of Ukrainian that exists in its folk traditions, musical lyrics, steppe inheritance, and world-class literature of highest art. But the beauty of language depends on a poetic sensibility, to evoke and articulate the personality of a language as it brings contours to the world. Some people have that poetic gift and some don’t. Kyrylo does.

Viktoria is quite simply brilliant! She made me feel very comfortable and at ease whilst providing heaps of encouragement. I will definitely book more lessons with her and I encourage anybody reading this to do the same. A+
