🇹🇭 Songkran Festival in Thailand (April 13–15) 🌸💦 Songkran is the traditional Thai New Year and one of Thailand’s most famous festivals. It is celebrated every year from April 13 to April 15. During these days, people enjoy water celebrations, spend time with family, visit temples, and show respect to elders. 💦 Why water? • To wash away bad luck • To welcome a fresh new year • To cool down in the hot weather • To share fun and happiness 🙏 What Thai people do during Songkran: • Visit temples and make merit • Pour water for blessings • Travel home to see family • Celebrate together on the streets 📚 Useful Thai Words (with pronunciation): • สงกรานต์ = Songkran (song-graan) • น้ำ = Water (naam) • ร้อน = Hot (rón) • เย็น = Cool / Cold (yen) • สนุก = Fun (sa-nùk) • ครอบครัว = Family (khrôp-krua) • สวัสดีปีใหม่ไทย = Happy Thai New Year (sa-wat-dee bpee mai thai) ✨ Songkran is more than a water festival. it is about family, respect, and new beginnings. Would you like to celebrate Songkran in Thailand someday? 😊
