In this class we will learn: 1️⃣ - Natural / Native ways of introducing ourselves 2️⃣ - How to answer 'How are you?' the native way 3️⃣ - Making small talk 4️⃣ - How to keep a conversation going ⏩ - The lesson will take place in a Zoom meeting 📷 - You will need a Camera and Microphone to join this lesson. 📄 - This lesson will use a Google Document - Please make sure you can access Google services 💻 - A computer/laptop is best, you will need to see my video and the Google Document at the same time. 🧑 - I might ask you to practice using the words/phrases in the class - Other students will be able to hear you - If you do not want to speak in the class, please message me before.

Introducing yourself is an important part of conversation - Many people feel worried about saying hello and starting a conversation. This class will help you to understand how and why native speakers use certain phrases, different styles of greetings. Also, we will learn the basics of how to continue a discussion, what to say after you have greeted someone! This is useful for students who are travelling to or living in an English speaking country. If you have to go to meetings with native speakers, go into shops, or go to events, this class will help you feel more confident introducing yourself to strangers, and give you the skill you need to make your conversation partner feel comfortable.
