揠苗助长[yà miáo zhù zhǎng]：pull;spoil/shoot/help/grow;to try to help the shoots grow by pulling them upward.
宋国 sòng guó：Song state in the Warring States Period (475-221 B.C.) in Chinese history.
嫌 xián：to dislike and avoid
庄稼 zhuāng jia：crops
拔高 bá gāo：pull upward
疲乏 pí fá：tired; exhausted
一大截 yī dà jié；a wide margin
枯死 kū sǐ：wither; dry up and die
This idiom also known as “拔苗助长[bá miáo zhù zhǎng]“.Literally means to do harm to a thing by being over-enthusiastic about it.

月曜までマレーシアにいました。
今回のPodcastでは、マレーシアの良いところを5つあげます！


・みんな笑ってくれる
　店の人やセキュリティの人、サービススタッフの人など、目が合うとにこっと笑ってくれます。オープンで親しみやすい感じがします。

・ヒジャブを身につけている女性が多い
　マレーシアは64%の人がイスラム教だそうです。ですので、ヒジャブを頭にまいている女性をたくさん見ます。日本ではなかなか見かけないので、とても新鮮な印象です。

・セキュリティの人がいるので安心
　アパートメントやモール、スーパーなど、いろんなところに必ずセキュリティの人が何人かいます。もちろん、変な人もいないですが、セキュリティの人がいるととても安心できます。

・いろんな文化が混ざっている
　マレー系、中華系、インド系の人たちの歴史、文化がミックスされた形で、今のマレーシアがあることを知りました。違うものが当たり前にそこにあることで、共存することも自然のように感じました。

・電車がきれい
　比較的新しくできた電車やモノレールはとてもきれいです。駅もきれいだし、電車の中もきれいです。ただ行きたい場所にすっと行けるわけではないです。遠回りで時間がかかるので、結局grabタクシーを使う人が多いような気がします。

違う国にいくと、いろんなことに気づくことができて楽しいですね。シンガポールとマレーシアは日本よりも赤道に近いですが、気温は日本より低く、むし暑くなかったです。

日本の夏は本当に暑いと思います。
日本にいる方は、昼外に出る時、気をつけてくださいね！
