こんにちは～！マルハバ！サウジの日本語の先生、佳子です＾＾
みなさんー！お元気ですか？私は元気ですよ～！先月末、ウィルス性胃腸炎になってちょっと体調を崩していたのと、息子の学校探しで忙しくてなかなかポッドキャストを更新できませんでした。今日は「サウジでの日本人との出会い」について話したいと思います。
1月末についにサウジで日本の方々と初めてお会いしました！今まで日本人の知り合いがおらず、街でも日本人らしき人を見かけず、出会いがありませんでした。恐らく世界各地に「日本人会」という海外に住んでいる日本人のグループがあり、私が住んでいる都市にもあるのですが、年会費がかかると日本大使館のホームページに書いてあったので、今まで登録していませんでした。でも、1月中旬にたまたま夫のサウジ人の友達とその妹さんに近所のスーパーで会って、日本に留学していた日本語堪能な妹さんには日本人の知り合いがたくさんいるというので紹介してもらいました。
1月末にその妹さんと日本人4人とカフェで会ってお茶しました。みなさん、ほんとうに優しかったし、いろんな話しが聞けておもしろかったです。そこで、日本人会や女性だけの婦人会のイベントに日本人会に入会しなくても参加できると聞いて、2月の婦人会のランチイベントに参加しました。
ランチイベントは日本人が多く住むコンパウンドで行われました。約20名ほどの日本人や日本語が話せる外国人二人が参加しました。7割くらいは旦那さんの駐在で来ている方々です。中にはサウジ人と結婚して50年以上サウジに住んでいる方もいました。食事はフィリピン人シェフが日本料理のブッフェを作ってくれて、お寿司、餃子、コロッケ、焼き鳥、みそ汁など約20種類の料理やデザートなどを楽しみました。久しぶりにお寿司や餃子、お味噌汁などを食べれて本当に嬉しかったです。テーブルは5つに分かれていてくじで席が決まりました。その席の人と食事やクイズをしました。そのあとは50年以上サウジに住んでいる日本人女性のお話でした。昔のサウジでの生活がどんなに大変だったか、サウジ社会が大きく変わった出来事などとても興味深いお話しを聞けました。本当に参加できて良かったです。
先週はランチ会で出会った日本から旦那さんの仕事で来たインドネシア人女性とブランチをし、今週はカフェで会った日本人の方々とランチしました。ランチの後、近くの公園で夫と一緒に待っていた息子と、同じくサウジと日本のハーフの息子さんが一緒に遊びました。息子にとってもとてもいい経験になったと思います。これからも日本人の方々とお出かけしたり、一緒にいろんな経験ができればいいなと思っています。

今日の天気は曇りと雨です。
気温は21℃です。

日本には今、台風が来ています。
しかも大型でゆっくりな台風なので、広い地域で大きな影響がありそうです。

先週末から沖縄付近をゆっくりと通り、今日9/5は九州、明日9/6は岡山付近を通るようです。北海道も明日夜から暴風になるようで、警戒が必要です。

個人的には、明日9/6の夜に飛行機で大阪に行く予定なので、台風の情報と、飛行機の運行状況が気になっています。

日本では、夏から秋にかけて台風がよく通ります。
6月は梅雨、雨が続きますし、この時期は台風があるので、天気が気になる季節ですね。
1月から3月にかけては、地域によって雪が降るので、この時期も天気が気になります。

私にとっては、今年は北海道へ引っ越してきてからはじめての冬を迎えるので、いろんなことが気になっています。ですが、その分、スキーをしたり、北海道の冬を楽しむ予定です。
