A man who identified himself as Dan Cooper demanded $200,000 and four parachutes, threatening a bomb on board. After securing the ransom and releasing passengers in Seattle, Cooper instructed the pilot to fly to Mexico City, but due to fuel constraints, they landed in Reno, Nevada.
