Remember, English is made from the back of your throat, but 한글 is mainly made from your mouth.
The sound comes from the front.
In other words, you use entirely different muscles when you talk.
So you have to practice it over and over again to become natural.

In Korean, the shape of the lips of the vowels should be correct,
And you have to understand the difference between the pronunciation of consonants in the initial consonants and consonants in the final consonants.

The basics are the most important.
Before reading Korean sentences with Korean grammar in Korean conversation sentences.
Read the basic pronunciation over and over again.

Avere grilli per la testa= essere pieni di idee strane e fantasiose. (espressione simile: avere idee strampalate)
Esempio= Oggi non riesco a concentrarmi, ho troppi grilli per la testa. 

Essere lento come una lumaca= essere molto lenti. 
Esempio= Mario è lento come una lumaca e arriva sempre in ritardo!

essere a cavallo= essere arrivati a un buon punto.
Esempio= Ragazzi, siamo a cavallo: se continuiamo così finiremo il lavoro prima del tempo!

A caval donato non si guarda in bocca= non si giudicano i regali ricevuti. Il proverbio deriva dall’usanza in passato di guardare i denti del avallo per verificare se stava in salute. 
Esempio= Non lamentarti Lucia pr il regalo che ti ha fatto Luca! Non lo sai che a caval donato non si guarda in bocca?

Andare a letto con le galline= andare a letto presto.
Esempio= La nonna Maria va a letto con le galline e si alza sempre alle sei. 

La gallina dalle uova d’oro= persona o situazione fortunata. Dalla favola di Esopo.
Esempio= Antonio ha scoperto che per lui vendere i quadri online è la sua gallina dalle uova d’oro.
Gallina che canta ha fatto l’uovo= chi spesso si lamenta per qualcosa che è successo, ne è il responsabile. 
esempio= Non credere alle loro promesse: solo una gallina che canta ha fatto l’uovo.

Prendere un granchio= commettere un errore o un passo falso.
Esempio= Oggi a lavoro ho preso un granchio e ho perso un cliente. 

Andare in oca= essere distratto, andare in confusione.
Esempio: Oggi sono andato in oca quando ho risposto al professore. 


 Avere/far venire la pelle d’oca= significa provare un forte brivido o una sensazione di formicolio sulla pelle, generalmente causato da un'emozione intensa come la paura.
Esempio= Ieri ho avuto la pelle d’oca quando ho sentito quella canzone.

NATASHA: What time is it? We’re going to be late!
TONY: It’s a quarter after seven. We’re on time. Don’t panic.
NATASHA: But I thought we had to be at the restaurant by 7:30 for 
the surprise party. We’ll never make it there with all this 
evening traffic.
TONY: Sure we will. Rush hour is almost over. Anyway, the party 
starts at 8:00. But I do need help with directions. Can you 
call the restaurant and ask them where we park our car?




LANGUAGE NOTES
• It’s a quarter after seven. This phrase is one of the most common ways of stating 
this time. It means: “It’s 15 minutes past 7:00.” Another possibility here is to simply 
say: “It’s seven fifteen.” In general you can say: “It’s a quarter past the hour.” How do 
we know the time of day? Look for context clues: “evening traffic.”
• In the dialog, Natasha and Tony are going to a surprise party. They need to be on time. 
Therefore there is an element of stress and urgency. When someone is stressed for 
time you can use expressions like: Don’t worry. / Don’t stress. / We’re fine. / We will 
be on time.
• Natasha thinks the surprise party begins at 7:30. There are two different ways to 
express this time. You may say simply “seven thirty” or “half past seven.”
• Rush hour is the time of day—usually in the morning and evening—when traffic is 
heavy because of people commuting to and from their workplace by bus, by car, by 
subway, on foot, etc.
