Hands at Home: Everyday Action Verbs | Spoken Malayalam #149
Descripción
A Kerala kitchen runs on very precise verbs. English speakers tend to use one general word for everything, like ചെയ്യുക (cheyyuka) = do, or മുറിക്കുക (murikkuka) = cut, and say "do the coconut" or "cut the onion small". Malayalis have a separate verb for grating coconut, grinding with water, chopping fine, scrubbing and sweeping.
