"Do not go," said the king, who was very proud of having a subject. "Do not go. I will make you a Minister!"

Minister of what?
嗯……司法大臣！
Minster of–of Justice!
可是，这儿没有一个要审判的人。
But there is nobody here to judge!
“很难说呀，”国王说道。“因此我还没有巡视过我的王国呢！”
"We do not know that," the king said to him. "I have not yet made a complete tour of my kingdom."
我很老了，我这地方又小，没有放銮驾的地方，
I am very old. There is no room here for a carriage.
另外，一走路我就累。
And it tires me to walk.
“噢！可是我已经看过了。”小王子说道，并探身朝星球的那一侧看了看。
"Oh, but I have looked already!" said the little prince, turning around to give one more glance to the other side of the planet.
那边也一个人都没有…
On that side, as on this, there was nobody at all...
“那么你就审判你自己呀！”国王回答他说。“这可是最难的了。
"Then you shall judge yourself," the king answered. "that is the most dificult thing of all.
审判自己比审判别人要难得多啊！
It is much more difficult to judge oneself than to judge others.
你要是能审判好自己，你就是一个真正有才智的人。
If you succeed in judging yourself rightly, then you are indeed a man of true wisdom.
我吗，随便在什么地方我都可以审度自己。
"Yes," said the little prince, but I can judge myself anywhere.
我没有必要留在这里。
I do not need to live on this planet.
国王又说：“嗯…嗯…我想，在我的星球上有一只老耗子。”

"Hum! Hum!" said the king. "I have good reason to believe that somewhere on my planet there is an old rat."
夜里，我听见它的声音。
I hear him at night.
你可以审判它，不时地判处它死刑。
You can judge this old rat. From time to time you will condemn him to death.
因此它的生命取决于你的判决。
Thus his life will depend on your justice.
可是，你要有节制地使用这只耗子，每次判刑后都要赦免它。
But you will pardon him on each occasion; for he must be treated thriftily.
因为只有这一只耗子。
He is the only one we have.
“可是我不愿判死刑，我想我还是应该走。”小王子回答道。
"I," replied the little prince, "do not like to condemn anyone to death. And now I think I will go on my way."
“不行。”国王说。
"No," said the king.
但是小王子，准备完毕之后，不想使老君主难过，
说道：“如果国王陛下想要不折不扣地得到服从，你可以给我下一个合理的命令。”
比如说，你可以命令我，一分钟之内必须离开。
我认为这个条件是成熟的…
国王什么也没有回答。起初，小王子有些犹疑不决，
随后叹了口气，就离开了…
“我派你当我的大使。”国王匆忙地喊道。
国王显出非常有权威的样子。
小王子在旅途中自言自语地说：“这些大人真奇怪。”

はい、こんにちは。今回はポッドキャストの27回目です。毎日暑いですね。私は先週、夏服をオンラインで注文しました。私は相変わらず家にいることが多いので、外に出た時はなるべく遠くに行くようにしています。今までは近所のコンビニでコーヒーを買っていましたが、歩いて１５分ぐらいの店に行くことにしました。コーヒーは店によって全然味が違いますね。そこのコーヒーは少し高いですが、コンビニより美味しいです。

Hello. This is episode 27 of my podcast. It's hot every day. I ordered my summer clothes online last week. I am still at home most of the time, so when I go out I try to go as far as possible. I used to buy coffee at a local convenience store, but I decided to go to a shop about 15 minutes' walk away. Coffee tastes totally different depending on the shop. The coffee there is a bit more expensive, but it tastes better than at the convenience store.

最近、会話を練習している生徒さんが増えています。文法を覚えても、リスニングとスピーキングに自信がないと、実際に言葉を使うのは難しいですよね。発音は、大人になってから勉強するのは無理だと考えている人が多いですが、実は違います。母音の種類やイントネーション、母国語との違いを勉強で理解して、練習を繰り返せば、大人でもかなり自然な発音になります。発音についてもっと詳しく教えることができるように、今朝、本屋に行きました。

More and more students are practising conversation these days. Even if you learn grammar, it is difficult to actually use the language if you are not confident in your listening and speaking skills. Many people think that pronunciation is impossible to learn as an adult, but it is not. If you understand the different types of vowels, intonation and differences from your native language through study and repeated practice, even adults can pronounce words quite naturally. I went to the bookshop this morning so that I could teach more about pronunciation.

私の家の近くにはジュンク堂という本屋があります。ジュンク堂は、日本で一番大きい本屋チェーンの一つです。どの店舗も広くて、大量の本があります。立ち読みもできるので、東京に住んでいた時からよく利用していました。立ち読みとは、売っている本を買う前に読むことです。本屋に行ったのは昼前でしたが、たくさん人がいました。会社員も在宅勤務をするようになったので、決まった時間に働いていない人が多いです。
