Help me out!!! A team ranks 3rd on PPP table. B team ranks 7th on PPP table. I will explain this. Please correct worng parts and teach me some good phrases. 1. A team beats B team on PPP table. 2. A team is followed by B team on PPP table. 3. B team is placed below A team on PPP table. 4. B team is behind A team on PPP table. Thanks in advance!!!!

Team A is third in the PPP standings. Team B is seventh in the PPP standings. Therefore: Team A is ahead of Team B. Team B is behind Team A. Using ‘table’ as you have isn’t wrong but it is only used in British English. It’s unknown to many people here.

The one about following suggests that they right behind team A, instead of a few places behind. It helps if you say...team A leads Team B by 3 places, or Team B follows Team A, with Team A leading by 3 places etc. Otherwise things might not be as clear as you would like.
