I am not sure where "switch for" might occur. It is common to say "switch it for," which, although a common phrase I would not consider a phrasal verb because it means the same thing as its constituent parts, and is read literally.

The phrase "switch for" is not a commonly recognized phrasal verb in English. However, the meaning of a phrasal verb can sometimes be understood by the combination of the verb and the preposition or particle that follows it. In this case, "switch" is a verb, and "for" is a preposition indicating the purpose or destination of the switch.
For example:
"I will switch for you." (Meaning: I will change or adjust something for your benefit or needs.)
While "switch for" is not a standard phrasal verb, it's a combination that can convey a specific meaning depending on the context. Phrasal verbs typically consist of a verb and one or more particles (prepositions or adverbs) that together create a unique meaning different from the individual words.
