I believe a lawyer is someone who has the qualifications to practice law (be a prosector or defense attorney) because they got the degree and passed the state bar exam. An attorney is a lawyer who actively practices law (they work in the law field). So, every attorney is a lawyer but not every lawyer is an attorney.

Hi Jacob!
How are you doing?
In the United States:
Attorney= Lawyer
So, an attorney is a lawyer, especially one who can represent somebody in a court.
I hope this helps!
Keep up the good work.
