The person I'm going to talk about is Sushi, who is one of the most famous ancient Chinese poets. He lived in the Song dynasty about 1000 years ago. When he was a kid, he showcased his talent for literature. Then when he was 20, he became successful in the imperial examinations and became a local official. Athough Sushi was passionate about politics, he did not have good luck in this way. In his midlife, he was framed in the called "WuTai Poetry Case", in which his poems were accused as the key evidence of objection to the policies and even the emperor. He had been arrested for several months when he was finally released. But he was still demoted to a place called Huangzhou. At the beginning, he was so depressed that at a Cold Food Festival he wrote down a group of sad poems called "寒食诗", along with his handwriting which has been considered one of greatest calligraphy in history. But quickly he went through the sorrowful days and recovered to be an optimistic person. He liked hanging out with new friends and wrote many fabulous poems such as "浪淘沙赤壁怀古". During this period, he was living in a place called DongPo, and he named himself after it as SuDongPo. In the following years, his life suffered from ups and downs, from one place to another place. No matter where he was settled down, he was always trying to help the underprivileged and aimed at serving the country in his conscience. He also liked making new friends, and kept a close relationship with his brother Suzhe by letter. There were many interesting folk stories about him, involving a lot of people around him, such as his ladies and a buddhist FoYin. Furthermore, he wrote so many brilliant poems and articles, not only recorded his own life, but also revealed some unfair perspectives of society at that time. In conclusion, the main reason I like him is due to both his genius and personality. Along with his poems and articles, his spirit such as optimism and humor, was handed down from generation to generation.
