I think study abroad is a good idea, depend of the country where you are traveling if they speak the same language as you do it's easy, but if the language is different it's a challenge. But this doesn't mean that is a negative experience, you can also enjoy other culture. Sometimes language can be tricky but sometimes it's funny, but the best way it's to take it easy with humor.
Coming back to the point, if I had the opportunity to go abroad, I would take it. I love to travel, know others cultures, try tasty foods.
In my point of view go abroad, open your mind you get more experience.
