Here's some thoughts from a student who has taken many lessons on the platform. One of the fastest ways to boost your visibility would be to offer instant lessons (but this is only helpful for new students who have trial lessons available). It's probably hit or miss, but it's a way to narrow yourself down in the student's selection process. I found my longest running teacher on the instant lessons, for example. The other quick way is to lower your price at the beginning (if you can tolerate it)--students may filter to under a particular price point, so if you're too pricey, they won't see you. If you're on the more expensive end and don't have a lot of reviews or a high lesson-to-student ratio, people may pass on choosing you. Also, if you speak or can offer a particular dialect, drawing attention to that may help. Students may select a teacher from a certain country/area if they plan on working or studying there, so that may help. Good luck!

The topic has been discussed many times on the teacher’s forum. You could read some of the old posts. Common suggestions were to study the profiles of other teachers and to copy the best elements and to create classes that weren’t overly general or overly specific. Good luck!

The teacher's forum would be a better place to ask that question.
