Hey guys! I need to practice my informal letter writing skills. Please, tell me if it sounds natural 🙏 Dear Sam, Great to hear from you! I’m so happy you’ll be visiting Moscow. I’m so sorry I won’t be around and we won’t be able to meet up. But I really hope you and your family will enjoy the time in Moscow. So, I thought about the best places you could visit here. First of all, try Varenichnaya. It’s the chain of the restaurants with the local food such as vareniki, pelmeni, pirozhki and many others. I guess you might like not only the food but also the interior of these restaurants. They usually look like an old fashion Soviet cafes but it gives them a very cozy and authentic atmosphere. Besides, you can go to one of the Taras Bulba restaurants where they serve one of the best borsch (Ukrainian/Russian soup) which is often called the symbol of our kitchen. I’d say that the prices at Varenichnaya and Taras Bulba are average so you won’t spend too much money. I recommend you to go to these restaurants and avoid the places in the city center that look like the traditional Russian restaurants as the food there is way worse and more expensive than in Varenichnaya and Taras Bulba. Well, I really hope you’ll find my suggestions useful and enjoy the restaurants and our local food. Write me in case you need any other information about Moscow. Have a great day! Give my love to your family, Rita
