Hello guys, I am Oliver. Today, I would like to talk about my hometown, a small
city in eastern Guangdong province of China near the southern sea, Shanwei. The
first thing about my hometown is the diversity of our food culture. Every
villages beneath the city have their special food. The most famous one is tea
which Chinese people call it the Lei tea. Lei is a verb in Chinese, which means
grind. We pulverizing tea and mints, adding water and salt, combining fried rice
and peanuts, and that is the Lei tea. Native people would drinking when they
have conversation with visitors, to show their hospitality. Another thing about
my hometown is the language, FuLaoHua, a dialect comes from Fujian province. You
may heard before if you travel to Singapore, Malaysia or Taiwan. The
pronunciation in this language has 9 sounds, that's why I can speak Cantonese
easily. In ancient time, maybe The Song empire, people immigrated to this place
from the Midlands because of wars. The terrible traffic protect our culture. So
there are many ceremonies happening every month. When something good or bad
happened, my mother always pray to God like most people do here. If you are
interested in my culture, you could touch me. Anyway, pls correct my writing if
there had something wrong. Thank you!
