Cooking is one of my favourite pastimes. I have been cooking for my family for more than 10 years. These past few years, I have found it quite boring to follow the recipes and cook (varying sentence structure tends to sound better. And an activity is boring, you are bored). So (comma not needed) I tried to mix dishes from different countries, like what I prepared last night: bean soup with rice noodles (colons are a weird but awesome punctuation. I recommend looking it up and reading the rules! It will definitely help your writing!) It did not taste bad, (comma between clauses) but the rice noodles were too soft after soaking in the soup for some time. I will try to "invent" more dishes to provide a better dining experience for my family. This was really good! Try to work on punctuation, but you really did beautifully.
