Many of us grow up with the belief that when learning a new skill—especially a language—we must start from the very basics. And yes, countless learners have followed this approach and eventually succeeded, often after many years of study.
But have you ever wondered how young children learn? They don’t sit in classrooms or spend hours memorising grammar rules. Instead, they mimic what adults say and do. Amazingly, within just a short time, they’re able to speak fluently—without exams, certifications, or complicated textbooks.
At the heart of language learning lies a simple goal: communication. We don’t need to master every rule before we can start speaking. Even with the simplest of words and phrases, conversation is possible—and that’s where true learning begins.
That’s why my approach to teaching English is rooted in conversation. By talking, we naturally pick up useful vocabulary and grammar in context. It’s interactive, engaging, and, most importantly, it mirrors the way we first learned to speak as children. To me, that makes the journey of learning not only more effective but also more fun.
