My favorite spot around Tokyo is Tokorozawa. That is located in southern Saitama Prefecture. There has a lot of nature and facilities. For example, my recommendation is "Tokorozawa Sakura Town". There is a facility museum, library, and so on. You can enjoy about Japanese culture in museum. I went to there last March.
