Hello! Today, I wrote about whether animal testing should be maintained. I believe that animal testing should be continued because it provides significant benefits to humans, particularly in the realm of medical research. Firstly, it has resulted in the discovery of new drugs like penicillin and insulin, as well as advancements in medical treatments such as organ transplants. Without the possibility of medical research, humans could be vulnerable to new viruses like Covid-19, making the use of animals in experiments crucial for progress in the field of medical research and ultimately enhancing our quality of life. Additionally, if humans were used in experiments and faced fatal consequences, it would be considered a grave ethical issue, akin to committing murder. Furthermore, determining who should participate in such experiments poses serious risks, and I believe individuals in socially vulnerable positions should be elected for such purposes. While some groups advocate for animal rights, it's essential to recognize that using humans in experiments does not necessarily protect these rights. Secondly, animal testing is more effective and less risky than using humans, serving as valuable indicators of potential negative reactions in human subjects. Computer simulations, although advanced, are often costly and unable to replicate the intricate interactions within the human body.
