I came across an interesting online article "Grabbing Coffee Every Single Day Increases Lifespan" and would like to share it here.
I love coffee and I guess I have a cup of coffee every day. So, I have been pretty interested in this kind of articles. The research team at Coimbra University in Portugal revealed that people, who grab some coffee on a regular basis, have an increased lifespan of 1.84 years on average compared to those who don't do that. The research also said that having a few cups of coffee per day can help prevent chronic illness such as diabetes(*) and high blood pressure. There is also research showing a lower risk of suffering from heart disease and colon cancer(*). Coffee are rich in caffeine and Chlorogenic acid(*). They have anti-inflammatory(*) effect and antioxidant(*) effect. That's why these can have an effect on illness prevention and increased lifespan. There is another research that coffee has a good affect on overall survival rate, while it has no affect on death rate related with liver disease. According to conventional research, it was said that coffee might prevent liver disease from proceeding. Hence, that was unfortunate for me.
The article was good news for me. I already have a habit of grabbing some coffee at work and I want to continue it on some level that I don't drink too much.
(*) I didn't know how to express in English and googled.
