Hi!
I am Italian and I am sure that there are a lot of true stereotypes I might tell you. Moreover, my birthplace is Naples, a city in the south that maybe is one of the craziest in the world. This belief is reinforced every time I travel aboad and discover other cultures. Here the lives are ruled by the art of getting along (I don't know if the translation is right: "l'arte di arrangiarsi"), that is the capability of the people to cope, make do with poor resources. This rule of life gives space sometimes to creativity and ingenuity, sometimes to illegality and crime. The result is greatest wonders and despicable horrors. Maybe it is a bug of the system, a failure that creates something unusual. You can never expect that things will go in the normal way and, if it happens, you are surprised. It causes a feeling of love and hate, a big oxymoron coexisting in the same place. A damned and immense love that makes you suffer.
