What is the most natural way to say “ wear many clothes ” and “ wear more clothes “ in English ?
I was told that it sounds unnatural to say “ wear many clothes “ , so I wonder what the better alternatives are.
Can I say “ wear many layers “ or “ wrap up warm “ ?
As for “ wear more clothes “ , I guess the better alternative should be “ Put on an extra layer “ ? Am I right ?
Thanks for your answer explanation !

You are right. Wear more clothes is not the way we would say that idea. We would say "you need to put on more layers" or "you need to bundle up." Another detail is that if you did want to use the first phrase it would be more accurate to say "wear more clothing" not "clothes." So I would say, "That model is wearing more clothing than the other one. This is a subtlety between the words clothes and clothing.
