The last movie I watched was “The Menu”, directed by Mark Mylod. It is a black comedy with a lot of weird scenes and plot twists. The movie starts inconspicuously. A man invites his girlfriend to dinner in a very expensive and fancy restaurant on an island. Before they sit at the table, the chef assistant gives them a little tour across the island and shows them that all of the ingredients are of high quality and came from this island. Later it turns out that every dish is not just to eat but to “experience” and the fun is just beginning. Between every meal the chef has a little speech and weird things start to happen, like killing or cutting guests' fingers. All in all, this movie is good but I don’t want to watch it again. Some scenes are too unrealistic and ruin the whole story.
