Hello Tomas, Great question! The first answer is correct. I could have lent you the money. Could have + past participle means that something was possible in the past, or you had the ability to do something in the past, but that you didn't do it. Another possible answer could be 'I can lend you the money'. This being in the present. I hope that helps, any questions let me know. Renée Theresa Professional Teacher
