Welcome to "Phrasal Verbs Gone Wild", the show where verbs and prepositions get a little too close for comfort! I’m your host, and today we’re talking about the mischievous phrasal verb: 'get up to'.
When you 'get up to something', you’re doing something… suspicious. Your grandma might ask, "What are you kids getting up to?" She doesn’t want to hear "We’re planning world domination" or "Starting a marshmallow fire in the living room." Nope! She just wants you to say, "Homework."
So next time someone asks you what you’re getting up to, just wink and say, "Oh, nothing!" They’ll know exactly what that means—trouble.
Catch you next time, unless you’re getting up to no good!
