Where I believe that the author has borrowed from an identifiable Source, I describe it as the proximate or ultimate source. In other cases, where the Expressions occur ubiquitously in classical or vernacular literature and can be said to be in the public domain, I merely list a sampling of earlier occurrences in roughly chronological order, without implying that the author was borrowing from any one of them directly.

The good news is that many workers without bachelor's degrees have high earnings.
