Sherees Kartholi
My hometown is named as Kannur, it's located in a South Indian state of Kerala. We are on the coastal region of North Kerala. We have a very diverse geography; from beaches to mountain and forest can be explored within 2 to 3 hours of drive. Our city is famous for handloom products, mainly cotton. We are one of the exporters of good quality cotton material and final products to Europe. Due to the strategic position of our land, we are home to India's biggest Naval Base called as Ezhimala Naval base. Kannur is also home to a very diverse cultural heritage due to its population demographics. One can also witness our popular Hindu traditional prayer offerings known as 'Theyyam' if they are lucky enough with the timing. Kannur has an international airport with limited flights connectivity and also is accessible through India's railway and road network.
