Running is one of effective ways to improve sleep quality. But the correct running time is in the morning when the sun rises ,not afternoon or evening.This is not a theroy but my experience.
In the Chinese traditional medical science we think human is just a part of the nature, so we need to follow the regular rules of the nature, for example go to bed when the sun sets and get up when the sun rises, like other animals in the nature. so that we could get good-quality sleep.

In Chinese traditional medical science we think human beings are a part of nature, so we need to follow the rules of nature, for example, go to bed when the sun sets, and get up when the sun rises, like other animals, so that we sleep well.
Perhaps that works near the equator, where seasonal differences in daylight hours are smaller, but it wouldn't work at northern [or far southern latitudes] where you could get 14 or more hours sleep in winter, and 8 or fewer hours in summer.
