In a gas station, the most common expressions to use are:
"I want to get gas."
"I want to fill up my tank."
Both phrases are widely understood and commonly used.
You might also hear:

English English we say petrol, American English is gas. You want to put petrol/gas in your car.
Often in English we also say I want to fill up my car (with gas) or I want to top up my car
